Mama is a beefcake of a tank at 125 pounds! And just as 'graceful'. When she bumps into you, you know it. This 5 year old girl is a pleaser, food MOTIVATED, plays as much as that bullish frame of hers allows, and is super smart. She loves to be petted and to be near her humans. Her house manners are lovely. She really is a joy.

Even at the shelter, she was such a good soul. "Mama is a gentle giant and an absolute sweetheart! She doesn't mind the excessive barking of other dogs and just wants love. She had a good dog meet with a medium-sized dog with higher energy and did great! No issues removing her from the kennel or putting back although she wanted me to keep petting her as I shut the door. She has been a very nice girl and extremely tolerant of everything!"

Mama came to us with Lyme and Anaplasmosis that has been treated. She has mild arthritic changes in her legs, but it does not impact her motivation to bounce around the house and yard in-between naps. She has such a pleasant personality and expressive eyes, she's an enjoyable companion through and through.

 

Mama gets along with the other dogs in her foster home, but does get excited when she first meets them. No aggression, just excitement at having a new friend. After her first encounter, she enjoys peaceful co-existence. As for children, older children only and must have lived with large dogs previously.
